Austin Electricity

The city of Austin is almost exclusively under co-op control. Most meters located within the city limits belong to Austin Energy, while there are some in the outlying areas which belong to Pedernales Electric. If your electricity is currently provided by either of these co-ops, you are in a non-deregulated part of the state and thus have no choice of providers.

We receive countless calls from Austinites hoping to be able to switch to another provider. Unfortunately, it is not an option for any home or business currently being serviced by the above mentioned co-ops.

The far north side of Austin is deregulated, so if your electricity is not currently provided by a co-op please give us a call to check on available rates.
