Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much are you saving your clients?
A: Our commercial clients have saved an average of 47% over their previous rate, and our residential clients have saved an average of 24%. Just imagine what your business or household could do with all that extra money.
Q: Will the reliability of my electricity be affected if I change providers?
A: No. Your electricity will still be reliably delivered by your local "wires" company. If you have an outage it is your local wires company who will respond. This company is the same no matter which electric provider you use.
Q: What if I pick an electric company that eventually does out of business? Will I lose power?
A: Vault Energy Solutions carefully screens the energy providers that we recommend to avoid this from happening. If it does occur, your electricity service will not be interrupted in any way. You will be notified and switched to your default local provider, and Vault will immediately begin finding a new supplier for you. Keep in mind, we have never had a recommended provider go out of business.
Q: Does the Letter of Authorization (LOA) obligate me in any way?
A: No. There is no obligation and no cost for signing the LOA. The LOA is an industry standard form that allows us to obtain your recent electricity usage history from your local wires company. We use this information to obtain custom quotes for you based on the amount of energy you have used over the previous 12 months.
Q: How much do you charge for your services?
A: We charge you nothing for our services. Our fees are paid by the electric company you choose at a rate that is generally equal to or less than the rate they pay their in-house sales team. Unlike other brokers, our fee is the same for every provider, making our recommendations completely unbiased.
Q: Are there "hidden" fees charged by electric companies?
A: There are potential fees which need to be included in your analysis of choosing an electricity provider. Although the fees are mentioned in the electric companies’ contracts, they are difficult to understand (not to mention nearly impossible to find in the wording.) When we present you with our findings, we clearly explain all fees and we spend time discussing the pros and cons of each electric company.
Q: Do you offer other products or services?
A: No. We do only one thing and we do it very well. We find you the lowest electric rates from the best providers. When we present you with our findings, we clearly explain the pros and cons of each electric company, and honestly tell you which option we would choose if we were in your situation. We base our suggestions on price per kWh and other fees, customer service, length of term, financial stability, and your individual situation. Because each of the electric providers pay us the same fee, we are unbiased in our recommendations.
Q: Can I add my home meter to my commercial account?
A: Yes, in most cases you can add your residential meter to your commercial account, though it may not be the best solution to lowering your home's electrtic rate.
