Summer Energy is an electricity company in Houston Texas. They are owned by Summer Energy Holdings, Inc, a publicly traded company who provides utility services to Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
They began operations in 2012 and they sell electricity to residential and commercial customers in the parts of the Texas electricity market that are deregulated.
In 2017 Summer Energy was named The Energy Professionals Association supplier of the year. In 2019 they were named one of Houston’s Best and Brightest Organizations.

Every plan offered by Summer Energy in Texas comes with an electricity facts label (EFL). This is a standardized document that every electricity company that does business in Texas must create for each plan they sell. The EFL will spell out exactly what the electricity rate of your plan will be. This includes energy rates, pass thru fees from your local TDU, cancelation fees, term length and other important information about your plan.
