Make Sure To Look at the Early Termination Fees of the Electricity Plans
Cancellation fees, also known as Early Termination Fees (ETFs), are a factor to consider when you compare the cheapest electricity rates in Justin. Although they are rarely triggered, you don’t want to be caught by surprise when your last electric bill arrives from your previous electricity provider.
You can be charged a cancellation fees if you switch electric providers before your contract term has expired. This is, of course, only true if you are under a contract with your provider. Many people aren’t under contracts though. They are just in month to month plans.
If you do need to terminate your electricity service early because you are moving to a new home, the fees usually do not apply. As long as you can verify that you ended the electricity because you moved, the fee is usually waived.
